Experience Nature, Peace & Stillness

I once heard said that the brush strokes of God leave an imprint for eternity...

​

My photography is a humble attempt to capture a small part of the Divine painting. I am fascinated with exposing stunning color, texture, and form from the most imperceptible of places, in a natural state. I am a nature, earth & peace lover. My intention is to bring stillness into peoples every day life - to experience nature & peace - through my photography.

My photography education has come from being in the stillness and learning where to find it. As an ardent adventurer, I have been blessed to find peace and stillness, in many places across the globe.

​

Nature has been a constant in my life since the time I was born. Both of my parents were teachers, so we spent the summers camping throughout Europe and across America. I have continued my travels and camping with camera in hand, now with a fervent passion, to share the potent joy that I see.

​

I have lived in France, China and Japan, studying languages and culture, traveling across the globe. My immersion in the Asian lifestyle, culture, religion and languages has made an indelible mark on my life that comes out in all that I do – the people and places embedded in me. I remember every image I take, captured as a story, like a Chinese character does in every stroke. 

​

Much of my design sense comes from trips as a child to all the museums, churches and ruins in Europe, countless hours spent practicing writing Chinese characters, being a lover of people and listening to their unique life stories and dreams. My parents gave me exposure to so very many people, places, and things, for which I am eternally grateful.
